Section 4 includes the Eastbound and Westbound bridges over the Caloosahatchee River.  This portion of the project will continue to provide capacity improvements from four to six lanes, which will require either the replacement of the aging structures or widening and rehabilitation of them.  The new designs will consider pedestrian and bicycle mobility and connectivity to Cape Coral and Fort Myers.  Long-term maintenance and enhanced aesthetic features will be considered during the study phase.
