Decorative Lighting
This Signature Bridge will be supplemented with aesthetic lighting in addition to roadway lighting that will create a breathtaking visual aesthetic.
Pier Lighting
All bridge piers throughout the project are floodlit by luminaires specially mounted underneath the bridge beam girders. The special mounting location will provide a lower maintenance need as well as keep the brackets/cabling out of public view in order to increase aesthetic enhancement. The luminaires are mounted with adjustable aiming brackets to ensure each unique pier is illuminated as aesthetically pleasing as possible. The colors of the luminaires will be dynamic to match approved themes and events.
Walkway Lighting
The shared use path on both the Eastbound and Westbound bridge will be illuminated by aesthetic lighting mounted underneath the outside handrail. This will do two things, it will illuminate the pathway itself in aesthetic colors, and will create a profile of the bridge on the traffic railing. This will allow the profile of the bridge to be observed from far greater distances at night. The colors of the luminaires will be dynamic to match approved themes and events.
Pedestrian Bridge Lighting
The pedestrian bridge providing connectivity of the new slipaway food truck park and the South side of Cape Coral Parkway will be illuminated using rope-like LED lights mounted at the top of the railings. This mounting location will provide the most efficient lighting system while also protecting it from vandalism and other issues. The colors of the luminaires will be dynamic to match approved themes and events.
City of Cape Coral Aesthetic Roadway Lighting
The Roadway Lighting on the Cape Coral Parkway side off of the bridge including Bernice Braden Park will be the same as the recently installed lighting on Southeast 47th Terrace. Special luminaires and poles will be used to match the aesthetic created on the 47th Terrace project. These luminaires will be the standard white LED color and not able to have their color changed.
